The pharmacist enhances the effectiveness of other members of the team including physicians, physician assistants, and advanced practice nurses by participating in drug therapy decisions in the therapeutic management of patients. Pharmacists dispense drugs prescribed by health practitioners and provide information to patients about their medications. Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. |
