Length of Training/Requirements
A two-year Associate’s degree or a certificate from an approved and accredited vocational/technical school is required to enter this field.

Licensure/Certification

Biomedical equipment technicians do not have to be licensed or certified. Optional certification may be obtained from the International Certification Commission and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation.
