Length of Training
A bachelor’s degree with a major in statistics, biostatistics and mathematics is the minimum requirement for entry-level positions, however most jobs require a masters or doctoral degree. Course work includes 18 or more hours in the areas of statistics, epidemiology, demography, and geographic information systems, in addition to core public health courses.
